I am looking to apply to Cambridge and Oxford. Is anyone else seeking admission from those two schools? Anyone have any advice?

For starters, you can't apply to both in the same year.

^I don't think so, but I'm not 100% sure.

You can't apply to Cambridge or Ixford in the same year, it's true. as to advice make sure your AP's are strong and in the same field of academic study you want to get into and take at least 3. and hope for all 5's. **** your transcript and GPA, the British don't care.

I thought the ban on applying to both only applied to UK (or EU?) citizens? I feel like I've read this somewhere but am too lazy to verify.

Hey

I am from england, lived there for 16 years, am now a senior in high school in MA.

Just to let you know, if you apply to both you wont get in to EITHER

Universities in england require to see what other universities you have applied to. Cambridge and Oxford are so spiteful and up their ass (not in a bad way) that if you see you have applied to both they wont let you it, you are meant to admire the one you applied to, My brother went to oxford, my dad to cambridge.

Also other good universities in england are
York University (sister went there great school) and
Imperial college in London, (brother also got a masters from there)
Bristol University also meant to be good

Sorry just read some other threads and repeated some of the points,
sorry for the repetition, though it backs up the point =)

I would apply to english universities but they are way behind in Art & design, way ahead in specific subjects. Know what you want to do, most people in england have only been studying 3/4 subjects for the last 2 years and are very advanced in it, so beware transferring to a country where the people know a lot more about specifics and nothing broad.

It will be hard to catch up in the courses you taking, though very doable,
Good luck!

There is one common app for all UK schools at
UCAS Home Page
You can only apply for Oxford OR Cambridge, with the exception of some organ scholars.
The deadline is 15th October if you want to apply for 2009 entry, and you've already missed the deadline for overseas interviews (i.e. if you apply now, you would have to travel to England for an interview).
