Broad, Creative College Major - Possible?

I'm looking around to choose my major, and realizing that i don't quite fit any traditional majors. I'm planning on studying entrepreneurship, but also am extremely creative. Ideally, i'd like to graduate with a degree in "Creativity and Ideas". Does something this exist anywhere? Obviously this won't get me hired into a field, but i'm not planning on getting hired anyway. I'd like this college major to include a broad mix of all types of creative things, from screenplay writing to industrial design to music, basically teaching me how to think and broaden my perspectives. Anyone know of colleges that could offer something like this? Thanks

Many colleges will let you design an individualized major, but you would have to be able to demonstrate the coherence of the various courses that make up the major. Look at the Bachelor’s degree with Individual Concentration at U Mass-Amherst. [BDIC - Design My Major](http://www.designmymajor.com/bdic/)

I believe there may be some colleges that also let you do a major comprised of several creative arts. I’m not sure where you might find them. Maybe check out the Integrative arts major at Penn State, the College of Creative Studies at UC Santa Barbara, San Jose State–Creative arts Program, Interdisciplinary Arts at U Washington-Bothel, Integrated arts at Bard.

At many universities, you might run into a problem trying to combine entrepreneurship courses with creatve arts courses because they’ll be located in different academic units (schools, colleges) of the university.

Also consider a major with minimal credit requirements. I’m doing something similar, but I’m majoring in philosophy, as it only requires 8 total courses. The rest of my electives will be in art and business classes.

Maybe consider a college with an open curriculum, like Amherst.

This major is offered at the Univ. of Southern California. SC encourages interdisciplinary studies and has academic programs such as the Provost’s Arts and Humanities
Initiative and the Renaissance Scholars.

The major mentioned above features courses across the creative fields of study.

This BA has a broad range of disciplines and is offered jointly by the renowned School of Cinematic Arts, School of Theatre, Thornton School of Music, and USC College (LAS). As well as taking the SC core subjects there are opportunities to minor. This minor could be in the Marshall School of Business. Their Entrepreneurship Specialty is ranked #3 in the U. S. in the latest U.S. News rankings.

Although USC is a private university admissions is need blind and in the 2008-2009 year $343 million was given in financial aid.

@Georgia Girl - i was wondering when Thornton will start moving faster compared to last year. i’ve was forwarded for committee review on 4/29 is that a good thing?
