Broadway Buffs!!! Come here

Hey guys, I thought I would offer a distraction so we can stop freaking out.

Any Broadway buffs in here? I absolutely love theater, especially musical theater. I'll go see any play on-off Broadway!! Lol, sometimes I believe I was born for the stage, i would definitely pursue acting if my parents approved.

Anyhow, anyone else a thespian/ like theater?

I saw 42nd street yesterday, AMAZING!!!! Go see it before it closes on Jan 3rd!

And I think a lot of us CCers would get a good laugh out of Avenue Q.

Hopefully we can see more plays once/if we get to CU!!! cross finger

ME TOOO !!! I LOVE THAT ABOUT NYC!!!

I saw 5 plays in London hehehe.. And Mama Mia last month!

But yes I saw 42nd street on Broadway too! (Summer 2003)

O i LOOOVEE the theatre and musicals lol..

Can't wait to live it up in NYC and COlumbiaaa

ooo im gonna go see bombay dreams in a couple of days..and i wanna see wicked and movin out..and rent

i saw phantom of the operah and little shop of horrors..heh..ehh...yeh musicals umm rock..

Phantom of the Opera, best show ever.

yes i think phantom has the best music on broadway! but i loved the story and SET of Aida!!! saw it with toni braxton, she was really good.

hopefully we can all go see plays together!

I saw Bombay Dreams in London and it was mediocre. the actors had really good voices though! I heard the NY version really sucks. But don't listen to my opinion because i hate hindi movies and bombay dreams was a hindi movie on stage

yeh aida was really good..

esp with toni braxton in it..

o dear..i actually heard bombay dreams sucked too then again many said it rocked..i guess the fact that its indian will be kinda interestin..hehe..oo i hear lion king rocks..

Lion King! i want to see that! hehe maybe we can go on Dec 11 (as either a celebration or distraction from sadness)

nah Phantom's not so great. sure it's good, but there are better ones out there. I really really wish I could see Wicked while Idina Menzel is still in it- she is so amazing. I'm definitely a musical theater buff, I've seen like 20 or so shows on broadway. If I do go to Columbia, I know that I'm going to end up spending so much money on seeing shows. Look for me in the TKTS stand, cus I'll probably be there every week.

Les Miserable

sorry couldn't do the accent, I saw parts of it, I loved it.
is it like gone forever or something?

..daria..im envy u:)...neways i think im gonna go see wicked soon..im planning too..ill see how that goes.....rp123..do u live in nyc?

Les Mis is still touring...they come to NYC sometimes and even Newark's NJPAC sometimes.

im from NJ

thx a lot rp123, I'm from Hudson, you?

ooo nJ!..blehh..hehe j/k..

Les Mis is good. I saw it once when I was little and then again about a month before it closed. I was in my school's production of it and we were right in the middle of learning it when I went to see it, so I thought it was really amazing.
Rent was my favorite show for a long time, like since 5th grade when I first saw it. Since then I've seen it a total of 5 times, not all on broadway though. I don't like how popular it's gotten though, I feel like it's all trendy to like it and I was a fan first.

my friend memorized this whole scene or song or somethin it was really long from rent..o yeh btw..daria..is that your name?..or is that from the mtv show?..oo i miss dat show

forget regret, or life is yours to miss!

i will be keeping tha tin mind on dec 10

easier said than done..

I think it is a great art. BUT, I have seen and HATE Cats, and I was not impressed by The Lion King or Beauty and the Beast. Annie sux too!
