Hi everyone!
I am looking to go into business for my undergrad and will be applying to Brock’s dual degree co op program and Western’s Ivey AEO. Brock’s program seems very interesting (studying and co op in another country for two years) and beneficial for job prospects as a result. Western’s program has prestige, however I’ve heard that it’s not AACSB accredited. In your opinion, which is the superior program and for what reason?
Canadian universities don’t seek out accreditations as a general rule. They are all overseen by the provincial government and have quality assurance from that source.
Western is consistently ranked as one of the top undergraduate business schools in Canada.
Neither Western nor McGill have AACSB accreditation. If you look at the schools that are accredited it is not a prestigious achievement.
Both Western and McGill are accredited by Equis which is a more internationally focused body.
I don’t think you’d find many (if any) Canadians who would choose Brock over Western for business.
