Broker/Investment Banker

Hey everyone,

I was wondering what major I should pursue if I wanted to become an investment banker or a stock broker. Two cousins of mine are graduates and work with the stock market(Selling/buying?) from home on the computer and are able to make a very good income--would this be the same major as that of a stock broker/investment banker? My current plans are to go to medical school with a science major, but this path seems more rewarding financially.

Thank you.

mark, you dont really seem to have much of a clue about any of that. You are searching in the medical field for a reason I am assuming. If you want to be an IB expect to work 70-100 hour weeks on average. It is in no way an easy job and there is also a very high divorce rate. If all you are looking for is "more financially rewarding" i suggest you look in a different direction. Do you even have knowledge of the stock market? of course it can be learned but if you don't have a passion for it reconsider what you are planning your future on.
