<p>I applied as a transfer student in Mechanical engineering for Fall 2010 at Cal Poly Pomona. However, in my Bronco Direct Application Status it shows that I applied under Electrical Engineering (EE). I called admissions a couple of months ago to correct this and they said their computers showed Mechanical Engineer.</p>
<p>I logged in again today and it still says EE. Should I call admissions again? Anybody with similar issues?</p>
<p>My son’s application had the wrong SSN (I entered it incorrectly), so I called the 3 Cal States he applied to in order to correct it. Cal Poly SLO was really cool, I just faxed some info and they fixed it. Same with SDSU. Pomona, on the other hand, insisted that we had to wait until the application period was over, drive down there in person, with his SS card, Identification, etc. I’m not sure why they are so difficult about fixing something. I hope you are able to get it corrected…my son did apply to Mechanical Engineering and I’m sure you want to be in the correct category since engineering is so difficult to get into anyways. <p>If I were you, I would come to the admissions office and clarify the misunderstanding. If it was the other way around there would be no problem since EE is not impacted. However, ME is impacted which means people will be turned down and switching to that particular major is troublesome.</p>

<p>thank you for the replies, I’m going to drive to pomona this week and submit my transcripts and talk to admissions. </p>
<p>I applied to Cal Poly Pomona in 2008 and got it as an EE, but hopefully I could get in as a ME.</p>
<p>Yesterday I drove to Pomona to turn in my transcripts. I notified the about my bronce direct issue and they directed me to the help desk. The help desk re-directed to admissions. Its frustrating, but at least admissions said that on their records it shows ME.</p>
