Hey everyone, my first choice next year will be the 8 year program at Brooklyn. I was wondering if anyone who got accepted/waitlisted into the program or those who will apply next year can post their stats so I can see what is necessary for the program? I really want to get in but I'm not sure if I will make the cut.

Thanks

I was accepted, not attending, but I can tell you this. If you really committed to EC’s, write very good essays and give a good interview you definitely can have make it. Grades aren’t everything at Brooklyn because I ended up making the cut ahead of some people I knew with higher SAT scores somehow.

Thanks for your reply. I have done some research and volunteer work at a local hospital, but I hope to do more this summer. I know that SAT’s aren’t everything, but if you don’t mind, what SAT do you think is needed to be ‘safe.’

Also: Does Downstate and other 7/8 year programs look at Writing. I heard some colleges only look at your score out of 1600.
