Ok, I know this sound weird…

I’m applying to NYU for next fall.
But, if I don’t get in, I think I’ll apply for Brooklyn College’s film department, despite maybe being “too good” for it’s academic heritage.

I was wondering if anyone had any information or experience with BC, because I don’t know a lot about its social atmosphere or specific renowns.

Would greatly appreciate any info!

My older D spent her Freshman year @ Brooklyn. She was a Macaulay Honors student and was in the BFA Theater program.

Her struggle with BC was the lack of a campus life, compared to a school like NYU (where one of her best friends go), even without NYU having a “traditional” campus.

BC is more a commuter school, and any social life exists during the school day. That might change a little bit now that there are dorms, but the there remains a large discrepancy between the number of dorms and the size of the school population.

She transferred to Smith this year.

Good luck with your choices! hugs

Sorr didn’t see the 2010
