Hi everyone, I plan on going to uf and I was just wondering which dorm is better overall. I know both are social but broward is closer to everything else and jennings has just been renovated. Please give me feedback. Thanks!

broward just 'cause its closer. the renovation sounds nice, but its really not a big deal. living in those kinds of dorms isn’t about the nice furniture anyways.

it depends on YOU. are you a partier?
do you need peace and quiet to get your work done?
do you mind walking a few hundred yards to the dining hall?

Broward is closer but it is definitely more on the rowdy side.
Jennings is mostly freshmen. But definitely not as wild as Broward and it is only a few hundred yards away.

Ok thanks. I’m a really social person and I want to meet alot of people so i guess broward is the way to go!

I’m in Broward. The choice should be obvious… ;p

Go for Broward for the closeness, Jennings has alot of hype over its name, its not that great in my opinion.

^^^ ok i guess i was just torn between two decisions because i hear that broward is pretty dirty.

If it makes you feel any better, Broward is getting renovated this summer.

futurregator: My S lived in Broward this year. It was very clean when he moved in. The tile, windows and window framing had been replaced and were new. The room was newly painted. The hallway is kept very clean…always clean and polished. I believe that the whole west wing (next to Rawlings) was renovated. I believe the whole east wing (near Broward Dining) will have the same changes this summer. The rest rooms are cleaned daily, but my S said some of the guys were piggy in the rest rooms. The showers were fine, but bring shower flip flops.
