Yeah. November 20th. I’m really hoping I don’t have to do that, though…

Noooooooo DC!

So, it’s almost 2 A.M. eastern time and I can’t sleep because I’m freaking out especially over my alumni interview that’s in two days. Anyone have any tips?
I just looked up the stats from CC and my own school. They make me so sad :[

^ werd. same here.

hi everyone! my parents just showed me this site and i decided to create a username to keep up with all of you! this is such a great idea! i’m soooo excited to apply ED and i just had my alumni interview this morning! it is so chill and laid back – don’t stress at all! make sure that you arrive early though and dress appropriately. my interviewer also recommended that you bring your resume with you, just in case. good luck to everyone!!

Hi, RFB (I’m deeming that your new nickname, because I’m too lazy to type it all out)! From where do you hail? =]

I had my interview today!! woot! It went very well, however, I went overtime with him and had to cut short because the next student had arrived. sigh.

Overall, I feel good about it. It was really calm and not too serious. My guy wore jeans and a sweatshirt lol.

Though Brown is calling my name and there is 29 days and 22 hours left until decision, and Professor Josiah S. Carberry is looking at my application right now, I MUST DO MY ENGLISH ESSAY THAT IS DUE TOMORROW

Hahaha. Nah, just keep refreshing the Countdown and procrastinate. That’s what I’m doing, and I have a 20-page research paper due tonight. Oyyy.

hahaha basically what i’m doing right now-______- badbad me. but can’t help it!

but i had a question for everyone:

i want to become a doctor(thought i’m not sure yet which kind, but leaning towards a surgeon) and i put down Bachelor of Science Biology as my 1st choice intended major. As my second choice, i put Bachelor of Arts Biology. But I was thinking of other choices for my second choice intended major, maybe Bachelor of Science Biochemistry, just in case i dont get my first choice. What do you guys think I should choose as my second choice? Or what other choices would be good to go in the medical path?

and P.S. are my chances into Brown slimmer because Biology is such a popular major?)= But i love biologyy

Haha, I put Biology as my first choice, too. Honestly, Brown looks to have a diverse range of concentrations, but I don’t think it has much effect on the admissions process. What matters is your “Anticipated Major” short answer, and how well you connect yourself TO what you want to do. It’s all about passion, really. Pursuing an Sc.B. could prolong your graduation one year (if you pair it with a B.A. concentration), which would inevitably mean prolonging medical school a year. My advice would be to just stick with your first love. If your short answers shows how passionate you are about Biology, then you should be okay.

But that’s just my $.02, so take it with a grain of salt. =]

hahhah thanks(=

and btw i found something interesting that i think you guys will be interested in(=
its the first sentence of the personal essays that accepted brown '13 students wrote

[First Line of Personal Statement | Facebook](Redirecting...)

Hahaha, wayyy to make me even MORE distracted!
That link is awesome, though. Thanks for sharing! =]

Haha those are some pretty catchy openers!

I got contacted for my interview ahhhhhhhhhh!

All of you guys are making me wish I had applied to Brown ED instead :3
It was such a tough choice!
cursed

hhahah which school did you apply to?

and @zekiye- congrats!(=

To Cornell, for the ILR program
But Bown and PoliSci were right up there :(

I can already see the difference in people lol

Aww, don’t fret! Cornell’s an excellent school, and I’m sure you’ll find people just as awesome (maybe) as us there! Are you still applying to Brown RD?

cornell is a good choice(= i know a person that goes to cornell and he loves it. i hope you get in!
but i definitely think brown students are much more outgoing and friendly.
personally, brown is my ultimate 1st choice, and my 2nd choice falls very below brown
