has anyone gotten their account yet?
i submitted my common app online on saturday, but have gotten nothing from brown so far

I submitted mine on Oct. 28 and just got mine yesterday. It takes some time :

i can’t wait!
i hope my rejection comes fast so i don’t have to suffer xD
jk

in my account, “application preference” still reads “not entered” and nowhere is there any specification of the fact that i applied ED

does anyone else have this? is this actually a problem or not?

Ahhh I am worried about this too. Two years ago, when my DS2 applied ED (not to Brown), we had to sign an acknowledgement agreement. His GC had to sign it too. But, we did not have any ED form to sign for Brown. I keep thinking I missed something. My only relief was when I saw Common app stated the deadline for Nov 1st. Did we miss something?

^I hate to say it, but I think you definitely missed something. Everyone applying ED has to sign an ED agreement form…

i don’t believe i missed anything; to the best of my knowledge i have completed all necessary forms for ED

i signed both the ED agreement on the brown supplement and I filled out and mailed the common app ED agreement

does anyone else have application preference still listed as “not entered”? what should i do? wait or call the admissions office?

Relax. It hasn’t yet been entered for me either.

Okay, so my DS clicked all the “right” buttons for ED, including those on the supplement and Common app, but since he had trouble with the counselor info, he did not have access to the ED agreement form. The counselor’s recommendation had been listed as “request declined”. Now it’s listed as paper form, so the ED agreement form shows up.

Yikes! He’s very relaxed about this process, but I had him call Brown admissions to check. The receptionist said he didn’t need to send anything. !!! I’m going to have him send that form anyway, just in case. Need his GC’s signature first.

My application preference isn’t entered yet, but my interviewer knew I was applying ED.

Do they even start interviewing RD applicants so early?

All applicants appear in the system. But it’s easy for us alums to forget to look to see whether someone is ED or RD.

ETA: But we’re told to prioritize the ED applicants.

And every applicant is coded either ED or RD.

fireandrain, Thanks for your note. I figured my son must be “coded” ED, since he only submitted his application on Oct 30 and within 4-5 days, he was making arrangements for the interview. So, even without having sent that specific ED agreement form, he’s probably listed as ED. Whew!

I applied ED and was contacted for an interview, but still no account. Did I miss something?
