the teachers @ our school have an unwritten policy that they wont write the rec as well if we dont waive our rights to see the rec - so i never know good the recs were. but those teachers like me.

im starting the essays now but theyre real good so far.

just curious about my chances.</p>

I think you have an idea of what your chances are, but, I want to get my number of posts up, so I will state the obvious. You have a better than average chance. Good luck!

ha, its just that i got deferred ED from columbia and right now i feel like i'm gonna get deferred/rejected from all the schools i like

I am truly sorry to hear that, I take back that brusque opening to my post. With your stats and activities, it was columbia's loss, and I am sure you will get into another great school.

don't worry about it. as an asian applicant with high stats from NJ, i was originally deferred from brown early and spent the next couple months thinking i would be rejected from my top choices. in the end, i was accepted by all the schools i applied to in the RD round (including brown, yale, and other selective places). my best guess is you'll do fine :)

columbia is annoying!

Don't sweat it too much. With stats like that, you'll get into a great school, quite possibly, Columbia or Brown in the RD round.

i want to say you'll get in because, besides the fact that i am a mostly white girl from California, I have such similar stats!!

good luck to both of us!
