Brown chances?

Hi all - if anyone could chance me that would be great! I am applying to Brown for class of 2021
I am a white American female, although I am going to school in the UK and have been for all of high school
4.4 GPA
29 Composite ACT (32 English, 31 Math, 27 Reading and 25 Science)

  • I am retaking the ACT on Saturday for a higher score, aiming for a 31 or 32
I am doing the full IB diploma, I’m applying from an international school in London (don’t know if that means anything for admissions)
  • I won’t be sending my IB scores because they don’t come out until July
    EC’s:
  • theatre (lead-roles in every school production since freshman year)
  • varsity softball for all four years of high school
  • editor-in-chief of the school newspaper
  • travelled to Namibia (southern Africa) for a service project, fundraised for this for all of junior year
  • national honors society

Working on my supplements now but I think it will be pretty strong, LORs are also strong

Any thoughts?

Your test scores are below the 25th percentile, so try to get that 32 which will push you up to the 50th percentile. What’s your unweighted GPA? Your weighted GPA is very strong. While you may not have many ECs, you seem committed to them. If you can get your ACT up to at least a 31-32, there’s no reason not to apply ED. Even with the scores you have now, I think it’s worth applying ED if Brown is your first choice. Good luck!

Good luck! You sound very similar to me, so I hope you get in! A higher ACT would definitely help and unweighted gpa above a 3.65 at least would serve you well.
