Brown Class of 2017 RD!

I’ve already begun to dematerialize. I won’t make it to the end of next week, I need my admission decision now :/.

So does Brown send Likely Letters to Internationals??

All the best everyone!! 20 more days to Ivy Day!! :D

Seriously can’t believe it’s so soon.

@Lucy, I applied to the PLME. In retrospect, I have no idea why, lol. I’ve got a .1% chance of getting in.

Stupiddorkyidiot! I remember your witty username from the REA Stanford thread :slight_smile: haha

Three weeks from today and we’ll know Brown’s decisions. Crazy. I can’t wait for this entire process to be over, though.

Ugh, I’ve already started to have nightmares about getting rejected.

@Aery, I didn’t apply to stanford, but I recognize your username, so we must have encountered each other somewhere, haha.

Guys. This is ridiculous. I am on edge…

WUT. really? Hmm. Well. Oh well :)

I might have ended up on the thread somehow, though! I wouldn’t it put it past myself… lol.

I got flat out rejected at WUSTL today so I’m not feeling confident about Brown at all.

@Aerobug
I got waitlisted at Wash U. haha
I think the reasons why we got rejected/waitlisted were because we may have possibly not shown interest in Wash U. Looking at the decision page, it seems as if applicants who weren’t as qualified, but showed interest were accepted while more qualified applicants who did not show interest did not get accepted (rejected/waitlisted). In conclusion, keep your head up high and be proud of all the work yo put in over the course of your high school career!

Best of luck!

As an URM with a 34 on the ACT and 15 AP’s, I was surprised to receive a rejection from WashU… Pretty demoralizing

@karatekid666
That’s pretty… unbelievable…
But with those stats, you will get accepted to a great college, don’t worry!

lboss I actually showed a ton of interest in Wash U and still got rejected.
I saw someone else with my exact same stats and no demonstrated interest get accepted. I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. :P

Well it won’t matter if I get accepted to Brown.

all these acceptances at Wash U seems to be random then. I hope Brown does that because than I would have a better chance

Yeah… I thought that “maybe” you didn’t show interest and that’s why you might have been rejected, but I guess not :confused:
Wass U seems very random with their acceptances… I don’t know what to make of the applicants they want.

Best of luck!

Brown doesn’t care about demonstrated interest, correct?

I’m sure it’s a factor, why wouldn’t it be?

They assume everyone who applies wants to go there, they don’t track interest

Hmm okay. I guess that could be true

Brown’s common data set says that demonstrated interest is considered in the application decision. What they don’t track is your campus visit. Realistically, though, it’s Brown, and I don’t really think “demonstrated interest” is in their vocabulary.
