[ *] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Probably a combination of STS and my legacy status sealed the deal somewhere.
[ *] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Accepted: GW, Brandeis, SUNY Geneseo, Waitlisted: Harvard, UPenn, UChicago, Rejected: Princeton, Northwestern, Still have to hear back from Wesleyan and Georgetown

[ /list][ b]General Comments:**
I CAN’T BELIEVE IT! I’M SPEECHLESS! Brown was definitely up there for me, and while I’m going to put in a bit of effort to try and get off the Harvard waitlist (I did my science research project with a Harvard professor so that might help), I’m ridiculously excited! Also, I know anyone who didn’t get in to any of these very competitive schools won’t believe it, but it honestly doesn’t matter where you go that much anymore. The gap between people that go to Ivies and everywhere else has been lessened a lot in the past 20 or 30 years. For me, I consider this just a lucky strike. I was like 99% ready to go to GW and have a fantastic time. If you’re smart, you’re going to do well no matter what, so don’t let this be the end. That is all.

Rejected… Northwestern or WUSTL for me!

Accepted after ED deferrel. Rejected at other Ivies except Princeton WL…
Very grateful.

Got on columbia dartmouth princeton WL and accepted Cornell, but Pomona’s probably my number one so far. Just thought I’d post this so incase anyone else wonders if a LL means anything for PLME, I can assure you: no lol.

Other
Intended Major(s): Neuroscience or Physics with concentration in astrophysics
State (if domestic applicant): Ohio, I live in the poorest county in the southeast corner of the state.
Country (if international applicant):
School Type: Public high school with 650 or so students in all. Only high school in the county with 2/3 of students in a trades program. Not very much college prep support

accepted/rejected: Rejected: MIT, all other Ivies(Harvard, Yale, Princeton) and wait-listed to Vanderbilt
Accepted: Univ. of Notre Dame, Duke, OSU, OU-HTC, Denison

…so I prayed to God constantly that I be accepted at Brown (with good FA), but I wasn’t. Not that He didn’t answer me but Brown may just not be for me. Cornell or Furman (where I was accepted) may hold a better future for me. That’s the interpretation guys. God’s will be done. :)

Accepted! But I have to say I am completely surprised (stats are not too great). I am still very grateful though :)

Now that the battle is over, I wish to salute all of you for having taken on a nearly-impossible challenge with honor, dignity, and respect for your competing peers. Should you see disappointment in the eyes of any of the adults around you – family, teachers, neighbors – you should remember that today’s environment is far harder than the one candidates faced even a half-dozen years ago. Only 9.2% of the applicants were accepted this year, the second lowest in Brown’s history:
