Brown Class of 2019 Early Decision Applicants

I just submitted my application! And it’s beautiful! :)

For those of you applying to PLME, how did you guys indicate which PLME essay answered which prompt? The upload place doesn’t let you indicate which prompt you are answering. Did you guys write something like “PLME Essay #1” at the top of your essay or did you copy the whole question at the top of your essay? I’m kinda confused right now.

My D just put in the numbers “1.” and “2.” before starting the response

I submitted my app last night 10 minutes before I had to go to a Halloween party and it’s just a huge relief. Now the waiting begins!

Aghhhh, the waiting is the worst. A month and a half to go!

One more PLME question: we submit both essays in the same file right? I can’t find a way to submit more than one file.

I’m slightly below average as far as stats go, but I have some unique aspects that could possibly get me an acceptance. However, I’ve bascially accepted that I probably won’t get in and I’m looking forward to other schools, but waiting til April is gonna SUCK.

Anyone else not get there BrownAccount login info? I’m gonna call about that tomorrow.

@whats9plus10: Submitted on Oct. 31, and I haven’t gotten anything from Brown yet. If we’re all experiencing the same thing, I’d just give it a few days.

@whats9plus10‌ @DiscipulusBonus‌ I got mine only a few days ago and I applied at the very beginning of October, so don’t worry. It takes a few weeks.

Submitted and found typos URGH

@ebrook9596: Did that have the info you needed to connect with an interviewer?

@DiscipulusBonus‌ My interviewer reached out to me on his own. You just need to respond to the email they send you. There is nothing you can really do on the admissions status page unless you need to change information about yourself like your address or concentration.

@DiscipulusBonus‌: Interviewers will contact you by email or phone. Give that some time too.

International applicant here. Greetings! I’m just bracing myself for a rejection…sigh

anyone applying to PLME ED?

^^ Unfortunately Brown rejects very few ED applicants (rejects ~2%, defers ~70% IIRC).

If you are bracing for rejection, you’ll have to hold that position for a while.

^ ugh that’s just troture knowing that I’ll have to wait even longer. Odds are I’ll be deferred since I’m not a legacy or recruit, but I’m still keeping hope alive.

@ormdad: For the sake of clarification, last year’s stats were:

Accepted - 19%
Deferred - 71%
Rejected - 10%
