Good Luck to those who have received the interviews. anybody from MN here? have you gotten interviews yet?

I just got my brown account info this afternoon, but mine says the status of teacher evaluation, secondary school report, etc, is all blank! Is this only me?

Just got a call from an alumni interviewer… pretty nervous

@leahleah Same for me. Everything has been received, but only the SAT Application Fee are marked under “status.” I don’t think that it’s an issue!

I just made an account solely to comment that I applied at around 12am on Nov 1st and got my account info today too! I’ve been a silent reader of this thread for a while, but I decided it was finally time for me to join! It’s somewhat nice waiting with other people just as anxious as you! :)

I’m from Dallas, so there’s a pretty large alumni network here, and I got an email today inviting me to an interview event, but it’s the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and I’m out of town for a mock legislature conference. I don’t know why they waited so long, but I’m guessing a lot of people can’t go because of the proximity to the holiday. Did anyone else get an email about a large interview event rather than a one-on-one interview?

I just finished my interview! It went really well! It was just like a normal conversation.

@Condensed711 Glad to hear that it went well!

I hope I don’t get contacted for an interview :/, I’m too much of a nervous wreck during interviews to even get my name right. I would love to talk to someone about Brown, but not someone who has any bearing on my admission decision hahah. I’m in NYC, so hopefully the interviewers are swamped with applicants.

I can clarify the SAT question if someone still needs it – if you submit your ACT with writing, you do not need to send any SAT or SAT II scores but of course are free to do so if you want. Also, I emailed them a while back asking about SAT score reporting and they responded that you must send an official score report from the College Board (self-reporting on the Common App is not enough).

Any of you seeing this behavior?

We got the Brown A/C activated. Uploaded additional materials as PDF file in the “Supplementary Materials” section. Even though it showed message something like “Success… Thank you…”. Later it never showed any indication on whether the file is uploaded or not. We thought it should either show the file name OR uploaded status. We see neither. Any of you seeing this behavior?

@parentofs I experienced the same thing. I uploaded a MSWord document and it didn’t show. But that was a few days ago, so I’ll go check now to see if anything changed.

EDIT

Nope, doesn’t say anything. And the last time I accessed it was about a week ago.

Nice to hear. Looks like that is how the Brown Software is designed to work. Thank you for the response.

So, still no Brown Account. At what point should I be concerned?

@ballet19 - thank you for clarifying! i was the one looking for that a while ago!
Also, are you applying PLME and does this hold good for PLME as well? thank you again!

@StanMusial simply call Brown Computing Accounts/Passwords at 401.863.4357 and they will give you your log in information.

I’ve gotten brown account info, but still haven’t been contacted by interviewer. Is this just me? I’m so worried

A slight dip in ED applications means we’ll be expecting an acceptance rate around 19%:
<a href=“U. sees second-largest early decision pool - The Brown Daily Herald”>U. sees second-largest early decision pool - The Brown Daily Herald;

Which, when you look at it, will mostly be due to athletic recruits. Dammit I knew I should have done lacrosse instead of science club lol

That is one way to look at it.

Another way to look at it is that 99%–100% of recruited athletes will be admitted and about 9-13% of others will be admitted.

This is based on the following quote from the Dean of Admission:

“If we pull (recruited athletes) out, the admit rates for early and regular decision are very similar.”
