An article in the Brown Daily Herald said that the admissions committee does not start reviewing applications until around Thanksgiving. Do you think that means our applications have yet to be touched?
I still haven’t gotten my portal info yet should I be worried?
@peptidoglycan I’m guessing it takes them until Thanksgiving to sort out all the letters of rec, transcripts, etc and attach them to the right applications, so I guess they won’t be read until then?
First post here on CC! Glad to join this thread.
I haven’t been contacted for an interview yet and i’m freaking out! I live in a big city so I assume there are many alumni that would be available. Should I contact Brown now or wait a little longer?
I haven’t been contacted yet either… don’t know what to do other then to call the admission office at some point?
Do they interview every ED applicant? I haven’t been contacted either.
The goal is to interview every applicant. You should contact Brown tomorrow if you haven’t heard. Most likely your name was given to an alum who doesn’t read their email, is lazy, moved, forgot to tell the area chair that they aren’t available for ED interviews, etc.
I swear on a stack of Bibles that your chances of admission has NOTHING to do with whether you were contacted for an interview. And please don’t freak out – honestly, it isn’t that big a deal.
Has anyone yet to have their test scores marked as “received”? While I understand that there is a transitional period between the physical matching of the scores and input of the data, I don’t want to make any assumptions. Would it be wise to give the admissions office a call?
@MiscTroll do you mean the “Received” column? Because all of my materials have a date under the Received column, but the status column is blank
@MiscTroll I sent my SAT scores and now the status column only says “2 SAT subjects missing” but I still haven’t been contacted for an interview. Should I call the admissions office?
Never mind; they’re now marked as “received” for me. It also says “requirement fulfilled” under the status column.
same situation as @veronicaburon1
I am an international ED applicant this year and still have not received an email for an interview. Should I call admissions?
@brownedapp2020 same situation. I’m waiting a bit longer and probably will call on Tuesday next week
@veronicaburon1 I called admissions today and they gave me an email ID to contact. I thought it was helpful! Maybe you should try that out.
Why wait? Call now.
@fireandrain I see. I will call on Monday.
A little over 3 weeks now!!! Aaaahhhhh
when do results come out?
Mid December. I hope they can release them earlier
