I huddle over to my laptop, blankets wrapped around me, eyes bloodshot from sleep deprivation. My inbox glows with a “1”. I click on the widget, and am redirected to Gmail.
“Your admission decision is now ready”
I brace myself, and follow the link. I shakily enter my account information, and prepare myself. My cat, Schro, purrs in the distance.
I close my eyes. Then open.
“There has been an update to your status. Click here.”
I shed one single tear before clicking.
