I just literally talked about where I lived - my street and the surrounding area. I’d say talking about band is completely fine. The questions are supposed to be open-ended after all
Sorry if it is obvious. How could you apply for more than 1 early review?
Do you guys know how long it takes to get the tracking email after you apply? It’s only been a couple days and I know it’s a busy time of year, but I was curious.
@Hopeful42020 probably just what the challenge was, not the actual problem
@Spike2k2 FYI: “Brown Account activation information is emailed to the applicant 2 to 3 weeks after submission of the Common App.”
@IfnousWHO Thanks for the info!
It feels so good to finally hit submit!!
I submitted a few days ago…I’m partly relieved and partly worried because now I can’t change anything??? oh well. I guess we’ll all see in March…
@wonderlanddd To ease your mind, I remember reading somewhere on Brown’s site that you can upload an application update through Application Summary once you receive your login info
Exactly!!
hey guys! just joined this thread today and i also submitted today!! i had so much fun writing the mini supplements and actually found it a bit difficult to cram everything under the limit! best of luck to us all and remember: you are not defined by the decisions these colleges give you. :x :x
Do I have a good chance of getting accepted? I applied rd
african american male
ACT: 33
SAT math2: 800 SAT physics: 780
GPA: 3.3 UW, only because i transferred to a much harder charter school which hurt my grades a lot, but after a year of adjustment, I’m back to normal. 4.1 W
ECs: varsity sports, research, tutoring, several leadership positions in various clubs and organization, community service, etc.
I will have taken 9 AP classes by the end of this year and 2 classes beyond the AP level
I feel like I have zero chance but I dont really know much.
I sent in my app yesterday for Public Policy and Hispanic Literature and Cultures!
@c777123 Now that you mention it, I remember something like that too…that’d be nice. If nothing else, it’d make me feel better lol.
Hello to all. Still working on my application, but excited to send it in.
anyone applying to plme?
also, when do we get our results?
March 31st!
What do they mean by this?
“Some schools offer students the opportunity to take national exams in areas such as math and language. These exams include, but are not limited to, AIME, AMC 10, Le Grand Concours, National Spanish Exam, National Latin Exams. If you have taken any of these exams (or any other subject-based national or international examinations), please inform us of the exams and scores you find most meaningful.”
Would my CSEC (Caribbean exams) qualify? All of the students in my school take 4 compulsory (math, literature, language and i.t.) plus others. Would that count?
@Hopeful42020 I’m not completely sure, but I don’t think that any of those would count
