**Brown Class of 2020 RD applicant thread**

Right now I’m between UCLA and Georgia Tech - but I would drop both in a heartbeat for Brown

Still holding out for Ivy Day, but currently I’m sitting in college purgatory (aka the wait list). I really hope acceptances are independent events…
I’ve been accepted into UVA and WM which were my safeties

This last week is going to be the hardest…I haven’t really gotten into any selective colleges yet (not that I’ve been denied, I just didn’t apply to many) so I really have nothing to go on. Aah.

Yeah, I didn’t apply to many either. I see people posting on here with 20 applications, and I’m just like… what…

I’m kind of wishing I had, since I would like to have more options…but all those applications sound exhausting. And also expensive.

Still defensive driver-ing…

@schroscat Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry.
You’re reminding me that I have to do my online class, though. I currently have a 30%, but I’m not very motivated because I know I can get it all done in one day.

@whitespace I’m on the last lesson…but the other lesson took 2 hours…I havent even looked at the content

@schroscat Good lord. I’m pulling for you.

@cmh93 did you get a reminder email from Brown? If they send them don’t they send them to everyone? My D didn’t get a reminder email from Brown but got one from Princeton. It just states when Ivy day is and that she’ll have to check portal – standard pre notification.

@whitespace This topic: “why are speed limits important?”

@schroscat because I’m allowed to drive. That’s why.

@schroscat Well, they clearly didn’t matter to me when I got into a wreck at 10mph (in a 35mph zone). :-w

@whitespace @mjstewart1224 I am currently learning what the lights on a stop light mean…

My thoughts are with you tonight.

Can we refocus on Brown or college application process in general?
Wrecks, speed limits kinda have dragged on…

Sure. Sorry if I veered off topic (no pun intended). What would you like to discuss? I’m just bored and on spring break.

Guys, try not to psych yourselves out too much based on recent results–honestly, selective college admissions are all basically random at this point. Right after I got a likely letter from Brown, I got rejected from Vandy and waitlisted at Swarthmore…but it clearly didn’t mean I was less likely to get into Brown. So don’t sweat it too much, only a few days left! We can do this!

Anything college (any school, scholarships, applications, etc, etc) related at least.

Has anyone received any information other than likely letters indicating an acceptance?
