For the common app I wrot about the time I challenge my parent’s religion (very conservative) and how public school and the Internet reshaped my thinking
For my why brown I wrote about the mizzou protest that happened while I visited campus (sometime in November) I thought the activism feel of the campus was really cool.
For the growing up supplement I wrote about how I went from government subsidized housing to a more affluent neighborhood. (My parents are immigrants I truly am grateful for what they’ve done for me)
And I had an extra supplement to do for the engineering concentration so I wrote about how innovation works in biomedical engineering so futurism, and a lab program experience I had
I thought the brown application was the most in depth one I had to fill out and it set it apart from the other schools. My only regret is not applying early decision but I didn’t really fall in love with it until after the decision date. Also my guidance counselor made the binding aspect early decision really scary to me.

I really don’t think any of this means anything. Every college has seemingly correlated portal changes, and 95% of he time it doesn’t mean anything (like NYU, for instance).

i think the canvas site requires a brown email, which you usually get after you put down a deposit for the school (or did summer@brown). nobody needs to worry!
