@caleegalee are we talking about the same DD? :)]
@caleegalee @hooverhoo : My guess is that both will land on the final committee table. From there, it depends on luck.
@TheOldTimer thanks! Luck, we need a lot of! :>
Likely letters have started going out.
@MaybeHarvard2022 how do you know?
@mjmthesecond someone I know received one in the mail.
My daughter just finished her interview and said it went well!
what part of us does friend live in
@Lemonade22 delaware
@caleegalee my DD plans to form her own quartet in college. If yours and mines all get luck to plme, we should hook them up together in summer before school starts. I think they know each other from all-state.
@hooverhoo omg only if DD gets in! we def. should. it’d be beyond exciting. is your interested in joining the orchestra too?
@suzy100 : Do you mind sharing the geographic information of your DD’s friend who was admitted to Brown RD with no interview? (#1169) I am assuming she has no hook.
@LibbyOK - Same here, my DS has not been contacted for an interview and we are also NorCal
@usma87 I am in NorCal and got contacted for an interview on Monday. My interviewer said she wanted to do the interview before 2/21 though, not 2/14 like others reported
@caleegalee Yes she will do orchestra, it’s has been part of her life since 1st grade,
@creampuff72 - thanks for the heads up. Are you near Sac or the Bay? I’m in the central valley.
@usma87 I’m in the Bay Area, near San Jose.
Thanks.
The candidate admitted to Brown RD without interview (#1169) is from Ohio. According to this << https://www.brown.edu/admission/undergraduate/sites/brown.edu.admission.undergraduate/files/uploads/Counselor%20Newsletter%202015%20(1).pdf >> (copy URL including .pdf and paste to browser directly), a relatively underrepresented region. Combining it with very high stats, it seems that no interview is needed. (we don’t know the circumstances why there was no interview)
The last post on " Brown interview FAQ and answers" did not have interview either. But she was admitted to Caltech, which proves her stats is extremely high and she has STEM awards. She could not attend interview because she probably had out-of-state competition. (she said she was out of state at that time, during school year, competition is the most likely reason.)
