āAdmission decisions for Regular Decision applicants to the Class of 2022 will be available online March 28, 2018 beginning at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.ā Just got this email!
My daughter knows she was rejected because the last email to her rep she re no response. Ghosted is tell-tale sign, according to her.
Her thought process: with the yield obsession and so few getting in RD, no rep is going to blow off one of the few from their territory they plan to accept.
@momof2g1b that makes no sense. Brown does not calculate demonstrated interest and its yield is in the mid 50s. Brown knows tons of people want to go to their school so they do not nor need to yield protect.
@greenfrogmemes i agree that they have little yield protection to do, but wouldnt it make sense that the admissions officer would not bother to email back a rejected candidate over someone that the officer hopes will choose to attend the school?
@mjmthesecond Ivy blackout began today, which explains why there was no contact.
Does anyone have any further info under student financials? For example, a āloansā tab has been added, but there is no further info beyond stating to accept loans after May 1. Trying to determine if that is an across the board change for all portals or an individual change. I think it is likely a universal change.
@mhop72 I thought that was always there?
@greenfrogmemes whatās ivy blackout?
@dogsarelife The ivies arenāt allowed to have any contact w/ applicants until the day after Ivy Day, I believe.
Seriously? What if you send in an update or something? @greenfrogmemes
