brown, columbia, cornell etc.I will chance back

Hi guys if you could chance me that would be super cool. I’m currently a junior but I’m pretty sure I know how I’m gonna do in my classes so I would consider my junior year grades that I put down pretty accurate

Schools:
Brown
Columbia
Cornell
UPenn
Johns Hopkins
Emory
NYU

Projected Unweighted GPA: about 3.9 (my school doesn’t weight AP Classes)
ACT: 35 (36 English, 36 Science, 35 Math, 34 Reading)
SAT: haven’t taken
AP Scores: AP Biology- 5
SAT II: Math 2- 800
Rank: School doesn’t rank but probably top 15%

Junior Year Course Load w/ projected grades:
BC Calculus: A-
AP Latin: A+
AP Physics I: A+
English 11: A-, B+ A- (we have a trimester system)
AP Government: A- (2nd and 3rd trimester)
Art history: A (1st trimester)
Choir: A
Neuropsychology (2nd semester and online): I have no idea because it hasn’t started but I’m guessing A

I know that compared to some of you guys that’s not rigorous at all but my school only allows kids to take 3 AP classes at a time, and I along with like 10 other kids in my grade had to get an exception to take 4 AP classes. Also I’m the only person I know taking both 4 AP classes and 7 classes at the same time.

Senior Course Load:
Vector Calculus (Calc BC prerequisite)
Advanced Latin Seminar (AP Latin prerequisite)
Biochemistry (AP Bio prerequisite)
English 12 (the only option at my school as we don’t offer AP english)
Economics
Choir
AP Chem

EC’s:
Latin Club President
SAID Club Officer (Students Advocating Informed Decisions)
On state board for state chapter of a very large national organization
I know for sure I’ll be swimming captain next year (only senior guy next year), and I’m going to be a 4 year varsity swimmer
Cross Country: 4 years not varsity though
Extensive Volunteering- 250+ hours so far over my HS career. volunteered in library 100+ hours, had an internship at a museum
Lifeguard for two summers
Member of the Chamber Choir at my school

This summer I’m applying to a research program at a university and planning to run for a national board position in the previously mentioned organization in which I hold a state position.

State: TX

School Type: Small private school in North Texas

Ethnicity: indian

gender: male

income: more than $200,000

hooks: none

I hope I don’t seem too neurotic haha

You’re qualified, but your application will look like a thousand other students applying. You must write an individualistic, stunning essay, as well as obtain amazing LoR’s.

Assuming you have that, here:

Brown highreach
Columbia high reach
Cornell high reach
UPenn high reach
Johns Hopkins reach
Emory ??
NYU low reach

Like what Okon said, you have the stats and the ECs. But the only way to really get in is to write a strong and amazing essay that showcases your unique personality.

as everyone said before, you have a great resume on paper but so does every other reasonably qualified applicant at these great schools. write an amazing essay; if you have any kind of personal struggle/exploration to write about, do that. if not, write about what you said in this post, about your determination throughout high school to learn the most and do the best you could even with limited options at your school, call it pushing boundaries or whatever else you want.

good luck!

Are you good enough to be recruited to swim for your college team?
