brown/dartmouth/uchicago/northwestern which is easier to get into

I'm asking about overall stats rather than my chance.
I'm just curious...

Technically, Northwestern is the “easiest” to get into.

Acceptance Rates:
Brown 8%
Dartmouth 11%
UChicago 9%
Northwestern 13%

Yea if we’re taking stats Northwestern has the highest acceptance rate, but none of that matters if your stats don’t add up.

And RD, that very well might be different. NU really likes kids who have them as their first choice, so the ED acceptance rate is several times higher.

Acceptance Rates for 2014:

UChicago 8.4%
Brown 8.6%
Dartmouth 11.5%
Northwestern 12.9%

They are all great schools and none of them is easy to get in. Be sure you have the stats and outstanding essays to have a chance.

Basically this. At my school, we had many qualified applicants that applied to NU regular, but they only took a less qualified person who had a sibling attend probably because she was more likely to attend (and they were right)! Dartmouth also really likes STEM kids/high stats (think 2300+, vals, sals, etc.) a bit more than the other schools.

"I’m a Chinese but I’m studying in the states. (So I’m an international student…)

my stats
30 ACT (probably 32 after retake)
3.92 simple GPA for my junior year
no special EC…"

Those stats make all of them difficult to get accepted into. And the fact that you are self-pay will only help at need-aware schools.

^ Brown’s need aware for internationals. However, I agree. OP’s stats are very low for an International student.

RD, yes, but some schools really like kids who have them as a first choice.
Dartmouth and Northwestern had ED admit rates around 30% in 2013.
Brown’s was under 20%, and EA at UChicago doesn’t give you much of an advantage over RD.

Actually, of those 4 schools, only Dartmouth is need-blind for internationals, right?

BTW, to the OP: what do you plan to study or go in to?

If you were talking about major, I think I will have history or theology.

to KKmama
Yes my stats are very low…That’s why I said I’m just curious.
