(Yes, I've posted before, but never for Brown so I'm curious.)

Thoughts?

With Ivys you never know, but I feel that you have better chances than most applicants for Brown.

I love Brown so much but I'm so intimidated--- this amazing girl who's 10th in the class also applied. Her ECs aren't as unique as mine (my semester abroad etc) but she's really into theater. At least she's an amazing person who I would be very happy for if she got in over me. I wonder how much another person from your school applying affects you.

I don't think much. About 5+ people got into Stanford from my school last year. The academic environment is tough, so them not all being the top 5 students didn't matter as much. And I do know two girls from the same school who both got into Harvard.

I hope both you and your friend get into the schools you want. :)

Yeah, that would be amazing :) I'm really weird about schools. I look at the numbers, and my numbers are right. I have interesting ECs and such. But for some reason I never feel good enough, blegh. I think my rank really gets me down, even though its 6% which is fine, I feel like you have to be like top 5 students. My school is super competitive though. This year has been like one big headache, I just want to know! I'm sure everyone relates :)
