Brown Economics

I wanna major Economics in Brown. Can anyone tell me how is Brown’s econ department? How about the jobs after graduation? (will Brown graduates popular among the compaies like Goldman Sach.Morgan Stanley)

Bump........

I hear Brown is very solid at getting kids into IBs. Check around for campus recruitment, I think Goldman and Morgan both recruit at Brown. Also, theres some stat that Brown is the #2 feeder (next to Wharton) for Goldman Sachs & Co. Also, there's some stat that 97% of the Brown kids who apply to b-school get into one of the top 3. (I don't know what is defined as top 3, though.) As for the econ dept, you can choose between Econ and Business Econ, not to mention Econ-Comp Sci and Econ-Mathematics.

Goldman takes upwards of 30 undergrads a year from Brown, and it's actually 100% that get into their top 3 business schools.

here's more on econ at brown
