Thanks for reading :)

You have a very good shot at being accepted.

Thanks, I hope so! Waiting for those results in December. Best wishes to you :)

These schools are reaches for anyone

that said, when it comes down to it, your EC’s are outstanding, and your class rank is great

like the poster above, you have a great shot

Thanks James1G! Yeah I wish it was a bit easier like when my mom applied to Brown hahaha. Thanks guys. I hope that my app catches an adcoms’ eye. Would make for a really awesome Xmas present ;)

Like others have said, your extracurriculars and GPA are great (although no disclosed rank takes away from this), but the 32 is going to hurt. Fortunately, with all the things that you’ve done, legacy and the ED, you will be a strong applicant.

Thanks for the input. By top 3 in class, that means I’m top 10% btw. From what I’ve been told (for my school), my counselor writes in his letter how I compare to my peers in terms of GPA. But we “officially” don’t rank. I have an uber small class, and that’s why we don’t rank. If we did, some bright kids would have terrible ranks, and that would ruin their apps.

Amazing ECs and being in the top 3 is great. I’m 99% sure you’re in. (Only issue is the 32 on the ACT. What are your SAT IIs?)

32 act wont hurt lol it’s like in the middle range (though granted, the lower range are usually some of those minorities and stuff).

they just wont be like HOLY F it’s godly/sucks.
its just a ok, proceed type of thing, ya know?

anyway great shot, ECs seem pretty cool, and that legacy surely helps a bit.

But you should know Brown is crazy. They accepted 5 people from our school one year (4 years ago) and since then rejected everyone haha.

you have such a good chance being accepted! i would say you are basically in!
i play the clarinet too
good luck!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1027168-ed-penn-chance-pleaseee-senior-freaking-out.html

Thanks yaintime21, NNNNNN, & hopful! Yeah Brown’s ACT middle 50% range is 28-33, so in context, the 32 isn’t THAT ugly. It fits the bill, but certainly won’t drop jaws there. My top subject test scores atm are 690 in Lit & 710 in Math Level IIC. I know…low…my family doesn’t exactly ace standardized testing haha. But since I submitted the ACT, SAT IIs aren’t required for Brown.

Brown can be quirky with admissions; I don’t think many have been accepted from my school in the last 4-5 years, but not many end up applying.

Thanks for the chances, and I’ll do my best to chance you back as best I can!

A shameless bump for tha lolz. Leave a link and & I’ll chance back!

A few more replies please! I always chance back :)

You have absolutley no chance, why do you even bother applying?..jk haha
the legacy is really going to help as well as applying ED, you have a great shot, good luck!

chance back!

Thanks airplaneman; I chanced you back!

bump !

a few more responses please guys!

I think you have a great shot at ED, but remember that top notch schools are always going to be really random. Your GPA,ACT, rank, EC’s are all really good in my opinion.
