<p>If I’m applying online, does that mean when the website says that they must recieve the application by Nov. 1st, they must recieve the electronic portion by Nov. 1st, the paper portion (recs, transcript, etc) or both?</p>

<p>They must receive the parts of the application that the student sends by Nov 1. The parts that the school sends (transcript, school profile, teacher and GC rec letters) and the standardized tests can, and often do, arrive later. Brown (and other ED/EA schools) knows that institutions are dealing with many, many students, so they understand and expect that these parts can be and will be later. But the students applying ED/EA (in Brown’s case just ED) must meet the stated deadlines.</p>
