Essays are really good!! Recs from both teachers and counselor are amazing!!! One is alumnus. My brother attends Brown (if it makes a difference).

Please chance me for ED Brown!!!!

You don’t really have a chance. I’d suggest using ED on a much less selective school.

Your brother is a tip factor which means that if you have what they want, you’ll get in before someone without the sibling there. I would raise the ACT or try the SATs. Less than 8% get in with your current score and most of those have a hook.

[Brown Admission: Facts & Figures](<a href=“Undergraduate Admission | Brown University”>Undergraduate Admission | Brown University)

bumpppppppppp

I am not familiar with the IB curricula. However, you received mostly As, and a few Bs. Your GPA seems good. ACT is a little low. Try to raise it above 32. Your ECs seems good, not quite solid though. Lastly, your AP Statistics and AP U.S. Government scores are low.

That fact that one of your recs will come from an alumnus and that your brother already attends should have some weight. Are you applying for financial aid? If not, it’s just another hook in the door.

Your GPA is kinda low–try upping your ACT scores to 36 or 35.

Okay, well honestly your GPA isn’t that low and upping 4-5 points on the ACT is extremely difficult. So I’d say aim for a 33. Also, do you know your class rank?? And to be honest, I don’t think those AP scores are going to kill you either (but that’s just my opinion). If you can get your ACT up, and you have rockin’ essays, I’d say you have a strong chance.

Without a hook and with a 31, you don’t have good chances.

Good chances.

Wow, this is very controversial lol
