Brown Fall 2010 Transfer Thread

Does anyone have anything in the “STATUS” column next to the required documents?

@Lobzz, you’re not screwed, just sit down with the staff and ensure they send the transcript, or ask for the transcript to be printed and put into a sealed envelope and express mail it yourself!

Also, they are using the same system for transfers as they did for freshmen. they just forgot to change that message!

@thegoldfinch,

nope… I don’t either… not too worried. We could search the freshmen brown forum and try to find out!

@ NEU2NU, awesome. I didn’t think much of it, but I just wanted to double check! Do both of your Instructor Evaluations show up or is it just one?

Thanks, NEU2NU. Will do.

Also, do we NEED to submit a secondary school report? I just sent the transcript.

@thegoldfinch. Only one instructor evaluation(s) field. I imagine if they only got one rec, it would be noted.

@ Lobzz: Yes, we do. It was a requirement. Maybe give Brown a call and see if they’ll still accept it if you sent it in asap. They’re really nice and very understanding.

@ NEU2NU: Perfect, that’s what I assumed too. I just like to double check everything, if you can’t tell haha.

@Lobzz

I think so.

@Thegoldfinch

Yeah I need to re-check everything as well. I am so glad that they have everything! I would have been anxious all weekend if something was missing!

Again, If you do you happen to missing something, it is not the end of the line for you! Make sure you contact the necessary parties on Monday!

Do I HAVE to send my SAT and SAT II scores? They were terrible!
(1080/1900 SATs, SATIIs- 610 U.S. History, 570 Literature*)
Will they even get there in time?

Either SAT or ACT

And they are submitted electronically, which should be fast enough ;P

So I should probably just send my SAT I scores then?

haha I know this isn’t the right place for this, but do you guys know if only Brown needs the HS report (not the transcript)? I only submitted my transcript to about 5 schools, and I’m really worried now. I didn’t think they were required.

I’m asking about Dartmouth, Cornell, Tufts, WUSTL, and Brown.

@ NEU2NU, I was so relieved too! I’m a worrier so I thought I would be stressing out all weekend. What a relief!

@ DreamingBig: Does it say your scores are missing? If you didn’t send in your scores but they were on your high school transcript, you’re fine. Also, I’m pretty sure that if you submit the SAT I you also need to submit the SAT II’s but if you’re just sending in the ACT you don’t need to send the SAT II’s.

i got my password, but not my username…

@The GoldFinch, I was worried that I would have to go back to my adviser, and ask him to write the school report again. It was such a mess the first time around. I waited almost too long to get the form filled out, which only made matters worse. I never made duplicates, because they needed the school’s seal and with the time constraint it would have been impossible.

If I knew that they would have taken the scores off my transcript, then I would not have sent my SATs in again… Could have saved a few bucks…

@nygirl16,

check your spam folder. The first email (with your username) was sent about 45 minutes before the second one. (with your passkey)

also the user name is in a predictable format

it’s not there. is it just like first initial, last name or something like that?
