I wonder how I can require and submit a SAT II waiver? How many of you submitted your SAT I & II scores?
What can I do if my current college do NOT provide official ranking? How can I complete the College Official’s Report? It is needed to complete my file.
Really nervious now…
Thank you all!

I sent the materials together, some of them are showed, but others are not(like Second Sschool R) , anyone else who sent it but not showed received?

2010MOVEON
My SSR did not show up…but I am not really sure if my HS really send it. I will call them on Monday to make sure they send one again

@lobzz, lol its alright. I was originally just going to apply to just nu and neu, hence my username…

@2010MOVEON,

It is possible that they have not processed all the documents… it does not hurt to have the missing documents re-sent

Hm they just sent me login info. When I called this girl said that as a junior applicant, just my hs transcript would be sufficient (doesn’t need the counselor form or whatever)

My finals are mid/late May, i.e. after/during the time I get some decisions back… :(. It sucks that none of my schools have given me a decision yet. I just need at least one acceptance before finals so that I don’t lose my sanity :D.

As for Brown being my top choice, I’m actually not sure if I can say that it is. I don’t really have a top choice. I really like all 6 of the schools I applied to, so after decisions and financial aid letters I need to visit the schools and go with my gut feeling about wherever I feel I best fit in.

@ Lobzz and NEU2NU-- Those are some amazing schools! When do you hear back from the others, or have you already?

Lobzz-- I really wanted to apply to Dartmouth but I got too caught up in stupid things and decided not to apply. Its such an amazing school.

@ GiantPeach-- I’m pretty sure my school doesn’t rank either. If this is the case, I’m sure your college official marked this on the form and it wouldn’t matter. All you need to do is take it to your Dean of Students (or appropriate person) and have them fill it out and submit it. My advisor filled out the recommendation portion and my Dean of Students filled out the ranking and disciplinary portions. I thought it was super confusing too. Have you submitted the ACT? That’s a great way to get out of the SAT II scores. I did pretty terrible on mine so I decided to just send the ACT.

@ 2010MOVEON and Blankwater-- My SSR shows up as being recieved on March 23rd even though my high school counselor sent it out in January. My high school transcript wasn’t inputed until April 5th and it was sent out in the beginning of February. They most likely have yours but haven’t entered them in yet. Maybe just give Brown a call to double check and if for some reason Brown does not have it, call your HS to make sure they sent it out.

@TheGoldFinch – I’d better follow your format, as I’m new here. And I like it. Haha~~ Thank you for your information. Except for the ranking, my academic performance can be found on my transcript. Do you think sending a certification of eligibility of returning to current school and good standing will work? I did not have it sent–the only reason I can figure out why this report is recorded as missing.
As for SAT 2, the sad news is that I did not take ACT or SAT 2. I’m an international in a country where SAT tests are not provided. Do you think I should withdraw my SAT 1 score which has already been received? My score is only slightly over 2000… Some guys told me that sending 2000 SAT score was worse than not sending…
BTW, I have sent an email asking about these. Waiting anxiously for the reply.
At total loss. Thank you again~~

What is this about a SAT II waiver? I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I saw that everything’s been submitted, except the Sat II which I did not take. Do I need to send them something saying I never took it?

GiantPeach
I don’t think 2000 SAT is bad, though it might not be great. I’m pretty sure Brown requires SAT for all unless you never take it. I am pretty sure 2000 sat is in their 50 percent range, and if you do well on reading and math you actually could be around average. Given that transfer students always have a little bit low average SAT, I don’t think you should be worried about it. GOOD LUCK

@ lookingaround, GiantPeach:

Unless you want your application to be marked incomplete, I suggest you fax a letter to the admissions office ASAP explaining that you never took SAT IIs, didn’t need them to enroll in your current college, and thought that you only had to submit the SAT I to Brown for your transfer application.

My HS transcript has may SAT scores right on it, no escape for me!

SATII waiver? I never heard of it, but if you are nervous, just call the admissions office and ask if they need formal proof

Personally, I think they will only use the SAT score for applicants that need a slight bump to get admitted. You a better off with a lower SAT score and high GPA than the other way around. They want to know if you will succeed at Brown, and your college record is much more reliable than your SAT scores for predicting that!

Point being, don’t withdraw your SAT scores…

@Blankwater,fmhcbc,NEU2NU – Thank you all!!! BTW, I really like this format! I’d contact the school next week. I did a fair job, definitely poorer than when practicing, in Reading and got a full mark in Math, but Writing, I mean Essay, whoops…
Schoolwork piling up, but I just wanna jump to next Monday! Haha~~ Good luck to us all!

@BlankWater: Same here…my high school sent in the SSR with my transcript. and DHL showed that they signed and received it…that’s weird.

Would it help to send in a mid-term grade report or is it too late?

@ DreamingBig-- I don’t think it would hurt. I just put in a request to have my winter quarter grades sent over. Those will get there late next week. I figure that if they don’t want to look at it they won’t, but it might be helpful anyways.

Do you guys know any e-mail address to which I can send missing material? My HS counselor wants to send SSR electronically and I can’t find the e-mail address except for snail mail address and fax number. All I can find is only e-mail address for asking. Do you know any?

They told me they don’t accept anything emailed in. Just faxed or mailed.

@TheGoldFinch: Yes, Dartmouth is beast. D and Brown are definitely the schools I want to go to most. At this point, however, I will be more than happy to attend any of the schools on my list.

Also, they only have my SATI scores, but the status site says “SAT requirement: Satisfied.” But then again, that could be because I’m an international. I think they know that no non-US university requires subject test scores.
