<p>Yeah, I thought that I'll go through all this admission process without an interview, but the email of a Brown alumna, offering me an interview over the phone, shattered my dreams.

<p>i did not have a phone interview with brown but had 1 with another ivy...here are some tips on phone interviews</p>
<ul>
<li>stand up during the whole course of interview, will get more confidence in your voice</li>
<li>dress nicely, does make an impact mentally</li>
<li>smile, they cant see you - but it works</li>
<li>dont try to have too many notes in front of u, it will just confuse you and also the interviewer will hear you trying to find the right page</li>
<li>give them examples and not answers - for example - if he/she asks you on have you had any disappointments or failure in life. The correct answer is not yes or no, but a description of such an event (if the answer is yes)</li>
<li>questions could include things like
a. your favourite class. why
b. strengths and weaknesses of ur school
c. overall evaluation of your high school experience
d. future plans
e. ECs (mostly can revolve around ECs)
f. specific things from your resume (if he/she has asked you to email 1)
g. favourites (books, movies, etc.)
h. main question: WHY BROWN
i. What can YOU do for BROWN
j. Why should Brown admit you
k. your planned major. why. what after tht
and it goes on...</li>
