Brown is Incredible

After visiting the past two days, I must say that this school is one hell of a gem. Where else can you find a beautiful New England location within a few miles of the beautiful Narangasset Bay (and the East Bay Bike Path) with nice restaurants literally scattered across the middle of the campus; Ivy League academics and the most lucrative medical school acceptance statistics I have ever seen (5 people per year to UCSF, 3 to Columbia, 3 to Harvard, 4 to Penn, etc.); concentrations tailored as precisely as possible to an individual’s interests and the ability to take ANY CLASSES one desires to take while also having the Pass/Fail option open whenever one desires it, not to mention the lack of +/- grading to decrease pettiness amongst grade grubbers, which are already a shockingly small fraction of the student population, despite the fact that Brown has been ranked among the top 10 most difficult schools in the country to get into (SOURCES: [url=<a href=“http://www.campusgrotto.com/hardest-colleges-to-get-into.html]CampusGrotto”>Hardest Colleges to get into - CampusGrotto]CampusGrotto - Hardest Colleges to get into/url, [url=<a href=“http://encarta.msn.com/college_article_tentoughestschools/the_most_competitive_admissions.html]The”>http://encarta.msn.com/college_article_tentoughestschools/the_most_competitive_admissions.html]The Ten Toughest Schools to Get Into - MSN Encarta/url, [url=<a href=“http://www.collegetips.com/college-planning/toughest-get-into.php]Top”>http://www.collegetips.com/college-planning/toughest-get-into.php]Top 10 Toughest Colleges To Get Into - CollegeTips.com/url). To illustrate the ridiculousness of this school’s law school placement, take a look at the most frequently chosen law schools by 2007 Brown grads: 1. Harvard, 2. Columbia, 3. NYU, 4. Case Western, 5. Stanford, 6. UCLA, 7. Yale. HOW INSANE IS THAT?

With an undergraduate focus, incredibly good job placement (Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital, McKinsey & Co., and Morgan Stanley are all among the top 10 employers of Brown grads in any given year), and the 2ND HAPPIEST STUDENTS IN THE COUNTRY AS AN OVERALL COHORT (YES, THAT’S RIGHT; OUT OF EVERY SINGLE COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY, BROWN IS NUMBER TWO), Brown University seems to have it all.

This school is damn incredible, and employers, graduate schools, high school students, and college students all seem to know that.

If you get into Brown, you’d be a fool to not attend.

haha i know someone who turned down brown.
Brown sure as hell is a great school but almost every other top 20 school can boast similar statistics. Plus, Brown, like any college, isn’t for everyone. Some people simply fit in better at other universities. I think “If you get into Brown, you’d be a fool to not attend.” is an exaggeration.

Brown rocks!!! But like nooob said, not everybody fits in with Brown’s system; however, it is a sweet school.

For some people, like me, Brown’s as close as one can get to heaven on earth :D

Tetrisfan gets it :)

how does the system go???
could you please tell me?
I want to know more about Brown Uni because I might end up applying to it next year =S

Just read some of modestmelody’s posts!
