Yeah that would make sense, perhaps by regions… mine was dated February 21.

I actually unexpectedly received a likely letter. You won’t believe my stats…

(All of my testing was done early junior year, i never bothered to retake them)
SAT: 1780
ACT: 28
SAT Sub: 630/630/730 MathII/USH/Spanish
Rank: 3/400ish

Hooks :URM, terrible school (my counselor explained how my school’s SAT average is 1170 and ACT average is 16)

Strongest Part of App:

Essays. These essays are the best I’ve ever written. I went back today to read them and I can hardly believe I wrote them.

ECs. Basically, I changed my city’s police patrol routes, started a nonprofit that gives research grants, 500+ hours of math tutoring, kept the youth in my city informed on city council decisions and proposals to make HS students engage in local politics.

Conclusion: I got a likely letter because of my essays, ECs, and transcript, not testing.

@IamonCC congratulations I have same stats as yours hope my essay is good enough too

I got a likely letter today! It’s dated March 1.
State-Puerto Rico
ACT-31
Sat Subject Test- 800 Chem, 760 Math II
Hooks-URM
I still can’t believe it. xD

@sebsan
Awesome! Hopefully, I’ll see you there.

congratulations sebsan

Not yet for me :(

Your ECs are amazing… I got 28 for my ACT and doubt I can get in Brown, my dream school.

How likely is it that I’ll be accepted if I got a likely letter, assuming I maintain my grades etc? 99.99%? Because these last two weeks will have me absolutely anxious.

If you got a likely letter then you’ve been accepted

@IamonCC: how else do you understand “You WILL BE ADMITTED”? Congrats but go celebrate. Your anxiety is misplaced. You’ve all but arrived. Really.

If you continue to bemoan your anxiousness, know that 90%+ of your fellow posters and post readers will get rejected and would give their left arm to have your Likely Letter status.

Congrats but get quick perspective.

And of the remaining 10% that get accepted, probably 90% of them won’t get likely letters.

I received a likely letter from Brown, too.

Hence my username, I’m from Iowa. . .

Oh! It was dated early March. Received it about 10 days ago.

So excited and shocked. Brown was definitely at the top of my list.

Your efforts for the last 3 years paid very high dividends.
Congrats I am very happy my friend
you have shown a right path to Juniors.
