Brown Likely Letters

Haha I'm on vacation in San Francisco... inasmuch as I can't honestly expect one, I shouldn't even be worried... but this conversation has made me itchy to check my mail back home.

Congrats to those who got them!

Congratulations, LogansSN@! : )

Congrats, I am so jealous!

Congratulations :)

although i second the jealousy!

really wonderful job by all those who got likely..bravo.!!

I'm on spring break.. I wish I could check my mail :P

any Canadians get a likely letter to brown?

I'm still hoping that something will show up in my mailbox...it tends to get lost sometimes!

I'm in Vancouver, but I don't think I'll be getting one. I got in Wash U, but I don't think I'm getting into other more competitive ones, especially with Brown's 8-9% acceptance rate. This is madness.

lol well
i got WL'ed at WUSTL
which schools are you applying to FB lalaland? (since we're both from Vancouver)

h2opoloboy: You honestly want to know? I have to list all 21 schools down then... but Brown is my top choice (I don't have much hope, since my Critical Reading is 680). LOL

I applied for... Cornell (deferred), Brown, WashU (accepted), U of Toronto (accepted), University of British Columbia (accepted), McGill University (accepted), University of Waterloo (accepted), what else... of Penn, Columbia, what else... oh HYPS, and some liberal art colleges. I am expecting rejections from all of them. My SAT is kinda low (2190) for Asians. I am new immigrant though.

For Brown I specifically did not request for financial aid. (Sigh... $210,000 awaits if I get in.)

Hopefully they look at my TOEFL score.

The only reason why I think I have some very minimal chance for Brown is because my interview was amazing. (If that even means anything...)

Nice.
I've also gotten accepted into McGill and UBC...
waiting on the American...
Brown's also my top choice.
Although, UChicago comes as a close second (I heard it's coming out today, and i'm extremely worried).
Best of luck to you!

When do you think snail mail decisions will get delivered?

I got my likely letter today! (live in PA)
So they still are sending some out, even though it’s getting close to March 31.

^stlkarategal:

Does that mean that those of us who still have not received a likely by March 31 will probably get rejected?

When was your letter dated?

Can you scan and post it? Would be interesting to read

@ab2013: No, If you read earlier either in this thread or one similar a knowledgeable person from brown said they only send out around 100 of these letters… that’s only single digit’s percentage wise of the total number of people they accept. So we still have hope :D

Though few likely letters are sent, many of us will still be rejected. Truth hurts.

yea, I’m one of them. Most likely :frowning:
who was i kidding…I could never get in. We’ll see on the 31st I guess.
