Soph at a top 5 lib. arts with a college gpa of 3.6.
h.s. gpa 3.9

just looking at these numbers, what do you think my chances are at brown or cornell...

Since Brown is Need Aware, that gives you a little bit of a boost. Got any ECs?

Brown is NOW Need-Blind!!! Check their website for the comfirmation.

that is for freshman, check the website before you make claims like that:

"Transfer Applicants
U.S. Citizens/Permanent Residents/Foreign Citizens

All transfer applicants will be admitted to Brown on a need-aware basis starting for the 2005-2006 academic year. Need aware means that financial need will be taken into account in making the admission decision. Financial assistance is available on a limited basis to assist transfer students, who enter fall 2005 or later, in covering the cost of a Brown education. To be considered for financial assistance students must apply for financial aid when they make their initial transfer application. Students who do not apply for and receive financial assistance with their initial application, but suffer a dramatic change in a family’s financial situation will be reviewed on a case by case basis."

Thank you for the disabuse, bball.

what about my chances

what is your college GPA?

oh nevermind

I think you have a good chance, I wouldn't call it sure fire though

do you think i have a better shot at cornell or brown?

Probably Brown

Well it depends what school you wanna transfer into at Cornell. ILR, CALS, CAS, Hotel, Engineering....?

I would be applying to cornell ILR

why ilr? it's a very specific major.

Is brown really need blind for transfers? I think it says that they aren't. I should have applied :(

^^ummm, read what bball posted, it's not needblind
