<p>A lot of humanities major start off in humanities because they are passionate about it. Most dont think about job prospects until they reach “adulthood” and are like s**t I actually need a job. They end up as lawyers (maybe thats why u probably want to skip that trip and go straight into law?). And trust me, Brown opens doors that Edinburgh cannot even abroad in the UK if the Brown graduate knows how to market him/herself </p>

<p>Well makes sense- also Edinburgh probably has more fields than Brown which is a quasi-university.</p>
<p>For those who know Brown, its super respected maybe not in the south (I met a professor from university of Tennessee who had a PhD from Georgia Tech who had never heard of Brown or Dartmouth lol), and it opens doors in the Northeast corridor of the US and abroad way more than Edinburgh. </p>
<p>I see Brown get bashed a lot on CC, but mostly by ignorant people.</p>
