Brown or Penn for ED?

I cannot decide where to apply ED. I like a lot about both schools, but dislike a few things. I am undecided for my major but leaning towards communication at Penn and something in the humanities/social sciences at Brown. So, should I apply ED to Penn or Brown or just apply to both in the regular round?

Penn:
Pros:
Has communication (which I here is good) and graphic design programs
Can take classes in Wharton (I’m interested in the consumer psychology minor)
Beautiful urban campus
Slightly easier to get into than Brown

Cons:
A lot of pre-professional people/not that many artsy and creative people like me?
Slightly less prestigious than Brown
Competitive/ not laid-back

Brown
Pros:
Open curriculum!
Undergraduate focus
Artsy/creative people
Can take classes at RISD
Laid-back

Cons:
Hard to schedule classes at RISD
Too liberal?
Philadelphia is better than Providence
Slightly harder to get into than Penn

Quick Stats:
White, female, Midwest
GPA: 3.75 uw, 4.45 w (my school is competitive)
Rank: school does not rank, but top 10%
ACT: 34 (1st try, am retaking for kicks this month)
SAT Subjects: 770 U.S. History, 720 Biology E
E.C.'s: editor-in-chief of newspaper, lots of other journalism related activities, regional/state art awards and exhibitions, 2 varsity sports, mock trial, job as assistant teacher
Awards: national merit semifinalist, cum laude society, ap scholar with distinction

maybe you shouldn’t apply ED anywhere. you sound too indecisive and you’re making a huge commitment. They’re 2 completely different schools.

I’m in the same boat as you right now, Upenn or Brown? I’m leaning more towards brown now

If you have any doubt at all, I would recommend an EA program or not doing ED.

I was in a similar position as you are - I was deciding between Penn and Brown, because Penn has graphic design and Wharton, both of which I am interested in, but Brown seems like such an amazing place. I much prefer the culture at Brown though, so I’m applying ED to Brown :)

I agree that Brown seems to be an amazing school. Its open curriculum is awesome. That’s why I’m going to apply ED Brown :).

what did you decide on? im ED ing to penn

ED is for your first choice. If you have any doubt, ED really isn’t for you.
