brown plme + bsmd help

rising junior and want to get into a top-tier bsmd program (brown?) and was wondering how i could better prepare to apply next year
have not been stem-oriented at all in the past two years and i don’t know if it is too late to aim high and compete with 100% pre-med kids
even testing wise science has been weak so not sure at this point

GPA: 4.0 UW
ACT: 34 (36 M. 34 W. 34 CR. 30 S)
SAT-II: Math II- 770, planning on taking bio/chem + lang

(anticipated jr/sr) APs: APUSH, AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Gov, AP Lang, AP Lit, AP Stats, AP Calc BC

ECs: FBLA officer, Debate captain, Yearbook editor, Student Government, City Youth Government, Teen Reporter program, Lang Honor Society, Literary Magazine

Awards: nationally ranked FBLA, local debate awards, National Lang Exam Gold Award (silver, honorable mention)

Volunteer: City Government (60+ hrs), Hospital volunteer (100+ hrs)

Research: none

You know top tier bsmd schools are crap shoot for any one. If you feel strong about it just apply and do not count on it.

Any bsmd program that’s highly competitive is going to be looking at the scores and testing your true interest- that’s not just saying, “I really want to be a doctor.” Getting the admit is even tougher than a regular acceptance.

Rising junior is a fine time to pick up the right experiences- not shadowing, founding a club, hanging out at the nursing home, or some pay program you attend, but math-sci related in hs and then outside hs, somehow working with health delivery or with heath related issues, advocacy, etc. They can ask for this. If you can’t pull that together in the next 17 months, you may need to check for easier admit schools.
