Hi,

I'm interested in applying to med school this upcoming application season. The program that I am most interested in is the 8-year med PLME program at Brown: I would like to apply ED.
I wanted to see if I could get an estimate to see if I have what it takes to have a chance at this school. I love the environment and the program offered there, and I will do whatever it takes to improve what I have to appeal more to Brown's admissions officers.

Academics:
I believe that I will end up with a 3.5 UW GPA combined for sophomore and junior year (my school does not count freshman year GPA. If it makes any difference, however, I would get a 3.7 UW if freshman year grades were counted).
* To explain; the major slippage resulted from sophomore year. I was participating in an out-of-school research project, an undertaking that took an incredible amount of effort and ability for me to keep my grades up in some of my other class. My UW for that year was the lowest I could fathom.
Freshman and Junior year- 3.8 or 3.9 UW, which isn't bad at all. Sophomore year just killed me.*

Weighted: 3.81, I believe.

School does not rank: but my GC approximated that I am in the top 15%, safely.

Test Scores:
- I scored a 2350 on the SAT, a 35 composite on the ACT.

SAT II Exams:
Biology M (780), Chemistry (760), Spanish (760), Math II (800)

AP Exams:

Other hobbies that may be good to mention:
- As a hobby, I love learning languages. I have taken some courses, and have become literate in Korean and conversational in Mandarin Chinese. I am most fluent in Telugu and Spanish, as those are the languages I have had exposure to for the longest time.

Recs:
- 2 teachers- amazing (they've both known me for years, and I have participated in EC's outside of class that they were advising)
- GC- fairly good
- Additional- perhaps a teacher at a summer course, or internship rec; debating on whether or not I should actually submit it

Do you think that, even with my low GPA, it would be possible to still get into Brown's program, with my classes taken, volunteering, extracurriculars, and test scores? What do you think I would have to do to increase my chances of getting in? Or, are there any other prestigious programs you would suggest? I would very much appreciate any advice you may give me.

Thanks.
