It’s just to prove you have been accepted or not. Decisions are made. You can wait for the letter if you don’t feel comfortable tho!
I just feel like this program is mostly looking for military veterans, so my hopes are not high.
Hey, y’all. I’ve been lurking this thread since it started. I’m so anxious to receive a decision next week… Throughout this whole process I’ve been trying to remain realistic and to not let myself dream too much, but I know I’ll be pretty shattered if I’m rejected. Best of luck to everyone.
@ailiseilis I feel you! I’ve gotten 2 rejections so far, and it is discouraging. I feel like I’m just not what these programs are looking for even though I thought I was a such a strong applicant.
@IndirectProofs It’s difficult for me to gauge whether I’m a strong applicant or not, but I knew if I didn’t at least try I’d kick myself later. Blah. What do you want to major in?

@butfirstcoffee I agree. I am looking forward to getting my life back on track. If I don’t get into Brown, I’m really hoping I get into Dartmouth, and if I don’t get into either of them, then I have to wait a year and then I’m applying to Wellesley College.

@misamelee , sorry to hear that. But don’t give up! I’m 50 years old! 
And I’m going to apply to some other University! Is there any similar school with optional ACT/SAT (because it’s too expensive for me) and with the open curriculum as Brown (because I’m a journalist and don’t know the math) and accept nontraditional international students? If there is, please guys let me know.
Anyone else get wait listed? I didn’t know that was an option for this program, but I’ll take it!

@wittyusername1 I am not entirely sure. I originally put middle eastern studies on my application as I’m an Arabic linguist in the army currently. Now I’m not sure. Somewhat between that, political science, and economics. Definitely thankful for Brown’s open curriculum so I can figure it out.

I’ve been lurking this thread from the beginning but only just made an account. I applied and was rejected but wanted to congratulate everyone who got in. This was kind of on a whim for me, but it’s led me to realize I’m serious about going back to school and I’m going to work my ass off to get accepted somewhere next year.
