Hi guys, I am an international applicant that has applied to Brown via the RUE Program… I was wandering if anyone else here has also applied and maybe has some information regarding the number of applicants they usually receive/decision deadlines/anything useful Thanks for your help.

I also applied. Did you get a phone interview?

No, did you?..
I have also read on past threads that usually Brown interviews finalists, but
I have sent an email about that to Eric Hunter, and he basically told me that RUE applicants are not been interviewed.

“Note that RUE applicants are not interviewed; I’m not sure where that misinformation came from. We are about to go into Committee in the next day or two, and hope to have applicants informed of their decision on Friday, May 3.”

It’s past May 3, so I guess results are out. Have you heard anything?.. I am an international applicant that is trying to enter Brown as a sophomore.

Ah okay good to know! I didn’t get a phone interview but saw it mentioned couple of times here. Well I hope we find out soon! I applied as a freshman. How did you hear about the program?

I have actually applied to Brown last year as a regular freshman, and was waitlisted. Last year Brown had a really higher yield than expected(~1550 students accepted admission while 1500 were expected) and no applicant was offered a place out of the waiting list. After I was notified of my decision I was informed by my regional admission officer that I was one of a handful of students that they saved aside hoping to admit in case any spot will be available.(around ten if I remember correctly). She than told me about the program and said that I should defiantly apply if I am fascinate about Brown, and that she really hopes to see me at Brown, so I applied :-p. Brown is really my dream school and in case I will be admitted I might cry haha… I currently studying at my home country. I hope both of us will get accepted :).

I have sent my reply from my Iphone, and just now saw that the autocorrect changed passionate to fascinate haha… It’s a mistake.
