<p>I just got a letter in the mail about my Dean's Scholarship. The way I interpreted the letter was that I'd only have to pay $300 after the scholarship was factored in. However, that seems way (WAYY) too good to be true. </p>
<p>So my question is: Have any of you had any experience with the scholarship, and if you have, is Brown known to give scholarships that cover a majority of its program's cost?</p>
<p>I’ve heard that Brown is really generous with their scholarship from other CC posts about Brown’s summer program. So you might be in luck! What program are you going for? Also, when did you send in your forms for the Dean’s Scholarship and how long did it take for them to reply? I sent my forms in a few days ago, but I still have not heard from them and I’m worried that it might be too late, their funds might be depleted and aid might not be available for me. 
Please let me know!</p>
<p>I finished my application to the Leadership Institute sometime in late December or early January I think, but I didn’t pay the application fee until a week or two ago. And my mom fumbled around with the Dean’s Scholarship application for a few weeks, but I think she got it in a few weeks ago as well. </p>
<p>So I’d approximate that it’ll be a little over a week or two before you hear back about the scholarship (sorry for the lack of exactness). I just got the letter today, but it was mailed out a week ago on Feb 17 (I live in NY so you could estimate the delivery time to where you are). </p>
<p>It shouldn’t be too late for you as you got everything in well before the deadline. I really, really hope that everything works out for you and that I’ll see you this summer. And even if it doesn’t, there are many much more prestigious programs you can apply to. Keep me posted on how everything plays out!</p>
<p>My D has applied also, but I am only sending out the scholarship app today. Have either of you done the program before?</p>
<p>This is actually my first time doing the program or any residential program for that matter.</p>
<p>I’m hurrying to get the scholarship and app in by the deadline but i forgot my password for the application so I have to wait until monday for them to email me back about my password… congratulations on the scholarship hopefully their funds haven’t been depleted so i can maybe attend!</p>

<p>Andorvw, when did you send your Scholarship form? I would love to attend Summer@Brown, but I cannot unless I am awarded a scholarship and I hope that they haven’t run out of funds.</p>

<p>I applied for the seven-week summer session credit program…just was accepted today! 
Now, just have to wait for that Dean’s Scholarship letter…I have all my fingers crossed.</p>
<p>Bump…D is still waiting. When do you choose specific courses for the 2-3 week programs, anyone know?</p>
<p>I think you choose it after you pay the $300 deposit, but I’m not positive!</p>
<p>Hello! I was wondering if you received your Dean’s Scholarship at the same time as your acceptance letter or does it arrive in a separate mailing? If you received it separately, how long after the acceptance letter did it come? I am also wondering if they let you know either way if you qualified.

<p>Got a letter from Brown in the regular mail yesterday, which we hoped was the scholarship info, but was just a paper version of the acceptance email :(</p>

<p>I tried to search on the forums to see how long it usually takes to receive the letter but I really couldn’t find an answer. It seems like it really varies. Ours have to be coming soon! :)</p>
<p>D got a letter around 3/20 saying she didn’t get the scholarship but if she wanted, to “do nothing” and stay on their wait list for it.</p>
<p>Well yesterday she got a letter saying she got the scholarship so she is going :)</p>

<p>We still haven’t received anything besides the initial acceptance letter. I am keeping my fingers crossed for some good news soon.</p>
