Brown Transfer 2012

yeah… I can log into the account thing… I think it doesn’t mean anything, since there’s “PRIVATE” right next to all the information, which means only admission can see it… since it’s not public or anything, I think it’s just for the purpose of admission records…

you enter ur password at the 9-digit ID number???

I read through all the previous messages. Since the Admission Office has already finalized decisions, I bet the ones who are admitted will be able to see their “estimated cost of attendance, expected family contribution, and your financial aid package” under the Financial Aid tab in Student Selfservice. Unfortunately, I don’t have any award information under that tab ;( I still keep my finger crossed and wish for Brown!!

So, has anyone been able to see their award information in the Student Selfservice? Share your findings please! Good luck to you all :)

I can’t see it either. But I kindof doubt that Brown would post the financial aid information before they post the decisions. I have a feeling those tabs are just for enrolled students, although I could be wrong.

@hellobrown: That tab has been there since my account was created, so I don’t think it means anything. If any applicant can see an award rather than an error message, then that’s probably a good sign. I’m not applying for aid, so I can’t try that trick. Don’t worry about it though, they may not have even began to look at financial aid packages for transfers. It doesn’t mean you were rejected :)

I can tell you guys that those tabs are there for enrolled students. They use the same system (Selfservice/Banner) for applicants and don’t bother closing out all the tabs.

Hmmm, since I didn’t apply for financial aid I guess there are no hints as to my decision… Ugh

Schools seem to be replying earlier this year?

Okay so I finally am able to sign in. Did everyone who managed to sign in see their BRU-ID #?

yes, does everything say private?

@norcaltransfer77
yes - it all says private.

I’ve never called in before to ask about decisions. Does one just call (Monday) and ask whether or not one was accepted? (sorry if this sounds like a silly question)

I still don’t understand…how did you guys log in to https://webapps.brown.edu/activate</a> ?

So for your nine character id number, you just used the username you used to log in to selfservice.brown.edu? Because I tried that and it’s not working :frowning: but my username is not 9 digits.

JK figured it out. I was using the wrong link. I’m a bit slow sometimes haha. Anyways, everything for me is private.

I also tried to use the BRU to log in to https://webapps.brown.edu/activate</a> It said I am not eligible for this service. Does it say anything different for anyone else?

I am not sure if you guys realize it, but the BRU ID is not your character ID. Rather, your Banner ID is the character ID.

Does anyone have anything next to “Title” or “Email Address”? For me those fields are blank.

I think it’s a test. If you can log in, then you get into Brown!

^lolz, that is good! HAHA.

Anyone receive anything in the mail yet?

I live in RI and it didn’t come today. Hopefully I’ll get it Monday.

do you guys think the decisions could come as early as Monday?!
