Yeah Brown might send all of the acceptances first, and then all the rejections last. That way they don’t get mixed up.

Borges: UGH I know. I’m supposed to be studying for exams but all I’m doing is stressing over this instead.

Portmanteau5, ya that’s what a lot of colleges seem to be doing :(

Alyssa, when’s your last exam?

^Yeah it seems to make sense from an organizational standpoint. It wouldn’t make sense to do it alphabetically because then you could mix the acceptances and rejections. It happens all the time with colleges. I hope I get a spring admittance or a waitlist. If I got at least a waitlist, then the door wouldn’t be entirely shut.

Does anyone have any clue about how many kids Brown waitlists?

Can the accepted students explain if they received FedEx One Day mail?

I’m on the West Coast and wondering whether if we don’t hear today it means that we are rejected.

I live on the West Coast too. I just called them and a lady told me that all the decisions were mailed out yesterday… I don’t think they separate acceptance and rejections. Even though I told her that I have a 15th deadline coming up, she wouldn’t tell me my decision and just told me that I will definitely get the decisions by then. I guess we will just have to wait and pray ><

I was able to get through to somebody and they told me my decision. I was rejected. Once again, congrats to those who were accepted and I wish the best of luck to those waiting to hear!

I go to school around Boston and I just got mine in the mail. I was accepted for Spring 2013. Spring acceptance does complicate things but I’m happy!!! waiting for Columbia and UChicago.

Does anyone know for certain whether or not all the decisions were mailed together?

Rejected via phone. I knew I shouldn’t have let myself get so invested this time. Total heartbreak. :(

@anthro congratulations! For everyone else, I didn’t receive anything in the mail today and I’m a spring admit in CA

waitlisted! The person i spoke to told me that they would make waitlist decisions on the 30th or so once the 3 week period for accepted students to reply back has been reached, and then they will start calling waitlisted candidates.

Also, my self service account changed to spring 2013 after I recieved the call

Haha, the admissions office called me back but I was in class and it’s too late to call them back today now. Womp.

My selfservice account just (within the last few hours) had “Spring 2013” added though, does that mean anything?

Hey Sookie what are your stats?

@hemlockmoby, it probably means you were admitted for spring 2013. the account change happened to me this morning and i was admitted spring 2013

whoa, thanks abigail22. anyone else see the account change? if so, did you get admitted? don’t wanna jump the gun and get all excited here :)

Called Brown, I’m in!!
4.0 out of Dartmouth
No FA

Waiting on Yale…

I should have called I can’t study for my Calc III exam :(

Thanks guys! I’m in shock… I really thought there must have been some mix-up, but then I remembered he thoroughly verified my identity xD I applied for fall or spring admission, and somehow, thankfully, ended up being admitted for fall! I did not apply for financial aid. I think that not asking for FA, my essays, and my ECs are what tipped me into the admit pile. I called about 12:30 pm today and received a call back around 1:00 pm. I haven’t received my packet from FedEx yet, I’m hoping it will come tomorrow. Those of you who haven’t heard back yet: don’t get discouraged, especially if you’re on the west coast! The letters haven’t even made it southeast, so not having a letter is not yet an indicator of rejection good luck to everyone still waiting!
