<p>ACCEPTED for fall via phone this morning. I have been stalking this thread for awhile… I am honestly so in shock right now. To be entirely honest, I am some random girl from Oregon going to a state school in my home state and I got into Brown. I don’t even know what to do with myself. </p>
<p>But to those who they told couldn’t receive their decisions via phone… When the lady told me they sent them out in the mail yesterday and I should just wait I explained that it would be arriving to my home address only and I didn’t want my family to find out before me. That seemed to be a good enough reason to her and I got a call from the admissions guy about an hour later. So especially for west coast people, maybe try telling them that and they will give you the decision over the phone tomorrow?</p>
<p>Any east coaster who got admitted via phone and hasn’t received the packet yet? I live in Massachusetts and no mail. Does it mean I get rejected?</p>

<p>I just checked and my selfservice account looks exactly the same. I also could not view my financial aid award online and I didn’t get any of the messages that other people were posting about.</p>

i feel you. ive been rejected by two schools already and i really nervous about my decision too. btw, i am sorry that you did not get in vanderbilt, did you get your decision from vanderbilt via phone? when did you get it? I am waiting for my decision from vanderbilt as well, last week i called and the lady who talked to me just told me to “hold on tight! hold on tight!” :(</p>

<p>I was only able to get the decision because I stalked admissions due to having to place another deposit down. THey were willing to oblige because I was so persistent I think.</p>

<p>hemlockmoby, I would be fairly certain that you’re admitted to spring 2013. Everyone it seems so far who has that show up has been admitted. I would say yes. It didnt show up for me.</p>
<p>@bmaserati: I called because they told me my letter had been returned. I asked them to please just tell me, they did, I was upset, I got drunk, I felt better. I got denied from NYU then BU, and now I know that beyond a shadow of doubt, I will not be admitted into Brown. I will not be upset, because like portmanteau5 says, I am looking at the positives,
I am accepted to UCLA and they have an amazing Anthro program, I am going to double major in Musicology and reapply for grad school.</p>

<p>Haven’t called yet. My application portal changed to show Spring 2013 though, don’t know what this means. Has anyone been admitted for Fall of 2013 whose portal says Spring of 2013? Spring admittance would complicate everything…</p>
<p>I just went and checked my common app. There is actually a place on the supplement to mark if you would like to be considered for a different semester if they cannot offer it to you in the fall. I would say if it changed, you must have a better than normal chance of acceptance for spring 2013.</p>

<p>couple of quick questions for those accepted and have received their letter. Did it come with financial estimates if you applied? Did it come Fedex or postal service?</p>
