Brown Transfer 2012

I haven’t heard anything either. I live in Brazil, so I guess it’ll take a little bit longer to arrive here. Has any intl student received a decision already?

^I’m an international student, but I’m currently studying in the States. I called the admission office and they told me they would mail to both addresses. But, so far I’ve got nothing yet.

Hello!

I was accepted for Spring 2013! I looked for a Facebook group for spring transfers and couldn’t find one, so I made one.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/354015007985622/

The group is called: Brown University Spring 2013 Transfers

Please join if you got accepted :)

Good luck to you who haven’t heard yet!

Waitlisted…

Joy2014: Did you receive you letter in the US or in ur home country? Where r u from? I have received nothing yet. I’m desperate. Tufts already rejected me, so Brown is my last chance!

@rfsmolina My family received the letter today, which is in a SouthEast Asia country. I didn’t receive anything in the mail myself so, I called the admission office and they told me that for waitlistees, they only sent the letter to the permanent address. Oh, and the mail is postmarked May 4th. I hope you’ll be hearing back soon and I wish you the best of luck!

^Thanks a lot! I hope to receive a decision soon.

Have any waitlistees heard anything from admissions? Anyone gotten accepted off the waitlist yet?

has anyone accepted heard anything back after mailing that postcard thing for commitment?

collegemanzor: No, I have not. However, I was able to see changes in my SelfService account and was able to create a @brown.edu e-mail a few days after they received it.

I’m also anxiously waiting for Brown to send me more transfer info. There was hardly anything with my acceptance letter. In no way am I complaining, but I expected more than just the letter, credit evaluation estimate, commitment cards, and sticker. I want the transfer guide!

@Frontium

Where can you create a @brown email? Because I can see the change in my Selfservice account but cannot find the way I can create the email account. I sent the commitment card almost two weeks ago and I am a spring admitted also…

Hello, is there a facebook page for fall 2012 transfer students? Also, is there any international transfers who received or heard something back from Brown after sending commitment card?

rachely0223: You can try it by activating your account here: [myAccount :: Account Activation](http://activate.brown.edu/files/activate/intro.shtml)

Where’s everyone coming from?! If I go (which I’m leaning towards), I’ll be coming all the way from Nevada! Can’t wait to meet you guys!

For those who were accepted, when do you have to confirm your decision? Does Brown require a enrollment deposit for transfers? I’m from Brazil and I haven’t received my decision yet. I’m freaking out!!!

It says you have three weeks. I don’t know if this is from postmarked day or received day, but because they don’t give you a strict deadline, I’m guessing they’re not going to be too harsh about it. They also do not require a deposit, just a signature that you’re committed to Brown. I sent back my card today!

I hope to receive my decision this week for the sake of my sanity!

rfsmolina you should have received a decision already. They probably would have used FedEx if you had an acceptance, which is what they tend to use for internationals.

I would call the Admission’s Office tomorrow. Chances are that you were rejected… but I wish you good luck :).

i could be wrong, but it doesnt appear there is a facebook group for fall transfers, does anyone want to make one?
