<p>so the acceptance letter says “While we are unable to guarantee you an on-campus room assignment prior to the beginning of classes, we are able to provide temporary, on-campus housing, when you arrive. We expect to be able to give you a permanent assignment within the first two weeks of classes. All room assignments, permanent or temporary, will be made upon your arrival on campus.”</p>
<p>so I was wondering… for people whose parents/friends/whatever are coming to help them move in, is it kind of pointless because you might just have to move again in a couple of weeks? does anyone have more information on how probable it is that we’ll get permanent housing when we arrive, etc? and why would housing just happen to open up in the first two weeks of classes? I’m just really confused about this. did they do this every year for transfer students, or just our year because there happens to be too many people this year?</p>
<p>i got my housing assigment yesterday- im in a triple in religious housing. that really doesn't work for me, i am going to try and find a way to switch if that is possible</p>
<p>Religious Housing? You mean Interfaith House? Are you actually in a triple with Interfaith House people, or are you just an independent in their house?</p>
<p>Interfaith people are generally pretty chill, so even if you're with them, it should be ok. If you're an independent in their house, consider yourself lucky -- it's much better than being an independent in a frat house!</p>
<p>Then again, a triple sucks... I'd try to change that.</p>
<p>So, I guess you all are excited about housing assignments. I just changed my on-campus housing status to commuter...any transfers here got their Brown email address activated already? And also, Facebook? Holla at me...hahahaha I'm so excited about Brown! </p>
